Acting as COO and Controller for a Western Canadian high-technology company, our team formulated and implemented long and short-term business strategies to transform this R & D-centric company with minimal revenue, to a top-performing high-tech stock on a Canadian stock exchange.
   
One of our principals successfully completed an 18-month contract for a $12 million distribution company. Acting as General Manager, we were responsible for turn-around, change management, business re-engineering and for leading all aspects of operations including sales, logistics, warehousing, strategic planning and finance.
   
We have contributed advisory board-level strategy and consulting for a start-up RFID technology company in Eastern Canada . We also successfully provided Western North America sales leadership in the capacity of VP, Western Region.
   
DMC provided strategic and tactical marketing direction for a Canadian software company. We created and implemented sales business processes for prospecting, quoting, managing and delivery. We successfully updated and improved marketing communications, branding, and enforced consistency of messaging. As well, we developed product strategies, and provided leadership for a six-person North American sales team.
   
Our group prepared extensive upgrade and integration plans for a large food-processing company including economic analysis and justification of costs and benefits. This included business analysis, including personnel, industry, and competitors to produce a comprehensive infrastructure upgrade and integration plan. Presented to executive management and approved for execution. Overall project budget in excess of $5 million.
   
Acting as Vice President, Operations for an electrical contracting company, we reviewed business processes pertaining to consistency improvement, sales reporting, materials handling, personnel selection, and implemented changes with positive bottom line impact. Sales increased by 50% in six months.
   
Responsible for leadership of overall business operations and business processes for a Rehabilitative Health Care Group. We provided hands-on consulting to President/Owner for HR, finance, legal and business issues. This included preparing business plans and reviewing and improving the budgeting and strategic planning functions. We achieved profitability with one year of start-up, and tripled revenue in third year of operation.
   
We provided hands-on project management, technical and administrative leadership for a Canada-wide warehouse and distribution company. This spanned several projects including warehouse automation, security, country-wide data networks, packaged software implementation
   
One of our principals directly managed a $500,000 Internet security project for a major telecomm provider. Delivered on time and on budget.
